Cupertino, California — Apple today unveiled a striking new software design that enhances apps and system experiences with greater expression and delight — all while remaining instantly recognizable. At the heart of this redesign is Liquid Glass, a translucent, dynamic material that reflects and refracts its environment, shifting in real time to draw attention to content. This innovative visual language brings new energy to controls, navigation, app icons, widgets, and beyond.
For the first time ever, this design unifies Apple’s platforms — iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, and tvOS 261 — creating a sense of cohesion while preserving each platform’s unique personality.
